What an incredible day!
Please share your Community Impact stories with our Community family! Tell us how you were blessed and how you were a blessing to others.
If you have suggestions on how to make our Impact Days even better, please call or email me at the church.
Thank you so much for sharing your Saturday morning and making a difference in our community!

I was scheduled for Broward Outreach in Pompano to work in the kitchen preparing a meal for the residents, which I love to do. By providential accident, I ended up at Broward Outreach in Hollywood with my butcher knife in hand. (HINT #1: If you go to a feeding station, consider bringing your own knives!)
Another church was already scheduled to work in the kitchen there in Hollywood, and our group was scheduled to paint bathrooms. (HINT #2: Shirley is not a good painter.)
One of our guys brought a large group of sorority and fraternity members from nearby colleges, and it was GREAT chatting and laughing with them as we waiting for our "bathroom assignments." ;-)
Paul, Carla, Dennis, Joel, Christy and I ended up in a two-seater with showers. We had a WONDERFUL time sharing stories about how we met our spouses, about our children, about what we do for a living, etc. Everyone has a great sense of humor, so there was a great deal of laughter echoing in that bathroom!
We didn't have any interaction with the residents this time, so I did miss that part of connecting with others who need a warm smile and a word of encouragement. On the other hand, I feel very much closer to my painting mates. We will be looking for each other at church on Sunday.
NANCY MAY: Great job, lady! It must have been nearly overwhelming at the thought of coordinating so many people. But you and your super volunteer team members pulled it off, all to the glory of God.
Looking forward to the next one.
