Feeding the Homeless

Operation Hope Tote was a huge success!

We received enough personal hygiene items to fill all 75 Purple Hope Tote bags! We could have filled up more bags if we had them. All of the extra items were placed in boxes and delivered together.

We also made 500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! Way to go Community! This was a great Family Serve as you can see on our Community Impact Video!

All of the sandwiches and Purple Hope Totes were delivered to Broward Outreach Center in Pompano, where they will be distributed to the many homeless that show up to be fed every day.

My daughters, Aiyana(13) Ashira (12) Alexis(10) and I helped with this project. We were able to meet new church members as we worked along side them in the assembly line of PB&J. It was amazing how everyone worked together to complete our project. We kept Athena with us for a while and then took her to play with the other kids in the nursery, thanks to the generous volunteers in the nursery. Without them we wouldn't have been able to stay and help. After our project was completed, the girls helped write personal letters to soldiers. We all had a great time and felt very welcomed at CCC. On the way home the girls said what a great day they had, how much fun they had, and started making plans for what to do in the next
Community Impact. My only Question is who was impacted more the community or my girls?! Thank you so much!!!
